Did you know it's National Foster Care Month? Next week I'll be in Seattle, doing some great foster care events, but today is Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day. Guillermo spent 8 years in Washington's foster care system and is now a student at Eastern Washington University. He's even involved with youth advocacy and policy at the Mockingbird Youth Network. He's spending time with me today, at hearings, meetings, and more, to get a feel for how Congress works. It's been great getting to know him!
